It has been an exciting time here at Prosell. Last week we had the pleasure of going to DevLearn in Las Vegas! It was one of our biggest conferences this year and we are very proud to have won “Best Onboarding/Employee orientation Solution” at DemoFest.
If you’ve never attended DemoFest, it’s like a science fair where you can see live demonstrations of different learning technologies and vote for your favourite! The On.Board team was there with Jenna Wisniewski from Comcast, Sr.Program Manager of Learning and Development, demonstrating a project for their Technical Operations Field Engineering team.
This project was developed to help field based engineers experience a more consistent onboarding process, that was better supported by managers and increased “first time fix rates”. The result was a mobile first solution that connected new hires to managers and used mobile features to capture evidence and validate competency in the field. It increased engagement, learning transfer and improved speed to competence.
Some of the key components were:
- Connectivity with manager/trainer
- Tracking and feedback loop on completed activities
- Activities built for a “mobile first” platform – incorporating the use of mobile features and forms for validation of competence in the field
- Advanced reporting, displaying both learner and manager involvement
Due to its success Comcast are now using this platform for various other types of training including B2B sales, customer service teams and inbound/retention teams.
