Rotowash UK has been established in the marketplace as leaders in cleaning technology for over 30 years. They supply systems to customers in the health service, local and central government bodies, major industry, contract cleaning organisations and small businesses.
Rotowash were looking at 2013 as a pivotal year for growth. Sales performance across a 20 strong sales team was inconsistent, and they felt their primary route to growth was to increase their sales effectiveness. They wished to achieve this by not only growing revenues from existing clients but to expand into new areas outside the public sector. To achieve these ambitious growth plans, Rotowash was aware that their sales function needed support with business development and commercial capability.
Prosell, supported by GrowthAccelerator funding, rolled out a programme designed to improve the performance of its sales teams and managers to increase revenues. The focus was to train the Sales Managers with the skills to develop their own teams in the areas of:-
• Core selling skills
• Building value propositions
• Generating qualified appointments
• Developing a sales planning, targeting and forecasting process
Embedding these skills into the organisation was key to success. To ensure this was achieved, the Sales Managers also received ongoing coaching and support to help sustain these new skills for the long term.
